Gentle deep cleansing gel for all types of skin. It leaves the skin perfectly clean, smooth, and fresh. Cleansing Face Gel contains antibacterial and normalising mandelic acid (6%) and soothing astragalus and liquorice extracts.

Effects:

Cleanses and degreases the skin in preparation for mandelic acid application: Effectively removes oils and impurities from the skin, setting the stage for optimal absorption and effectiveness of mandelic acid treatments.
Clears clogged pores: Helps to open up and clear out blocked pores, reducing the occurrence of blackheads and breakouts.
Controls bacterial skin flora and regulates the function of sebaceous glands. It balances the skin’s microbiome and regulates oil production, which helps prevent acne and improve skin clarity.
It does not cause excessive dryness or pulling sensation: It is formulated to cleanse thoroughly without stripping the skin of its natural oils, thus avoiding the uncomfortable tightness often associated with strong cleansers.

Mandelic Acid (6%): A type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, mandelic acid is known for its gentle exfoliating properties. It helps to accelerate cell turnover, clear pores, and improve skin texture. Due to its larger molecular size allows for slower, more even penetration with less irritation, it’s particularly effective for treating acne, pigmentation, and ageing skin.
Astragalus: This herb is traditionally used in Chinese medicine and is recognised for its anti-ageing and immune-boosting properties. In skincare, astragalus helps to enhance the skin’s ability to retain moisture and promotes a healthy skin barrier function.
Liquorice: Liquorice root extract is valued for its skin-soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It contains compounds that help to brighten the skin, reduce redness, and diminish the appearance of dark spots and under-eye circles.
Panthenol: Also known as Provitamin B5, panthenol acts as a humectant, attracting and retaining moisture in the skin. It helps to soothe and soften skin, reduce redness, and support the skin’s healing processes.
pH 3.0 indicates that the product is highly acidic, which is typical for chemical exfoliants like mandelic acid. The acidic pH helps to ensure the acid’s effectiveness in exfoliating and promoting a clearer, brighter complexion.

Application:

Spread the gel on the face with moist hands to obtain a delicate foam. Afterwards, rinse the skin thoroughly with lukewarm water.
